What live illustration package options do you offer?
For example: Option C. 5×7” color, Me + 2nd artist to color (5-6 couples/hour)
What mediums do you use? The majority of my live sketch work is done in Copic marker, I also offer solo watercolor live illustration and digital illustration using an IPAD. Digital sketches can be printed onsite or emailed.
What does a typical live wedding illustration booking look like? For most weddings, we’ll begin sketching at cocktail hour (often starting between 4-6 pm & arriving 30-40 minutes prior to start time to set up. Often, we’ll move our station to the reception area at dinner, and continue sketching through the end of the evening (9:30-midnight). Once in a while couples schedule me to arrive earlier in the day to begin drawing family and wedding party before the guests arrive. Typically 5-8 hour bookings have worked well; Guests are sketched from photos mainly taken during cocktail hour, and return to our table to pick up their completed artwork throughout the evening.
What are your rates? My rate starts at $400/hour for just me, $550/hour for me + a 2nd artist who colors in my black line work(we finish 2x more onsite), & $700/hour for me + 2 artists.
Do you draw Large Scale Scene’s, & Ceremony Illustrations? Yes! Please email me to chat about what you have in mind! Pricing starts at $1,600.
Can you find additional Independent illustrators for larger events? I can send you a list of local independent live illustrators contact information or work with any artists you’ve found! ( * These artists have their own separate contracts and unique style, they are not the same artists I bring with me to color my line work for large events.)
What paper size & packaging do you provide? Sketches are drawn on 5 x 7” , 6x 9”, 8 x 10”, or 9 x 12 ” card stock & packaged in a clear plastic sleeve with a backing board. (Ikea Fiskbo 5 x 7” Frames are $3 each & available upon request).
Can you pre-print my Logo or illustrate a custom border or Background? Logo preprinting costs $150 & Illustrated Backgrounds start at $200.
Can you draw realistically sized guest sketches? Yes, typically I draw the elongated body fashion illustration aesthetic though I’ve drawn realistic sized sketches for a handful of events! Please let me know if this interests you or if you’d like samples.
What is your cancellation policy? To recieve a refund on any balance payments, the event must be cancelled 30 days prior to the date (except deposit payments which are non-refundable.)
What set up do you need to setup onsite? I arrive 30-40 minutes early to set up (unpaid) and an 6- 8‘ table or table with space to display artworks, and 2 chairs within 40’ of an outlet works great. I can make do with smaller table arrangements as needed.
How do I reserve a date? To reserve a date I request a signed service agreement and 1 hour deposit sent via Honeybooks that can be paid with a credit/debit card or ACH. Locations outside the Twin Cities area & NYC the deposit is 50% of the total due.
